After almost three years, Fluung returns with their third full length effort. The eponymously named album finds the band in their most ornery, self-aware and indulgent wave of songwriting yet. While not a true departure from the guitar heavy drive of 2022’s The Vine, Fluung explores the tones and motifs borrowed from earlier Satellite Weather and Big River releases - so much so that the newest record features a reimagined version of 2017’s “Spirit Well” meant for the loudest volume the listener can bare.
